Hey Ladies - do you know your T-score? Back in March of 2006 I stepped off my porch, rolled both ankles and broke a bone.... shouldn't have broken anything...
Some things however are blessings in disguise. If not for my freak fall I might not have known that at 43 I already had a 21% bone loss. That is only 4% away from a diagnosis of osteoporosis!
So if you are 30 or over and know you don't get enough calcium in your diet - do something now! I am taking fosamax plus a supplement recommended by my Dr., (Caltrate 600 plus) twice a day. Hopefully my next T-score will be lower than 2.1. They say we can rebuild bone... - will be posting my new T-score(after two years on the calcium and fosamax) sometime in the fall of 2008.

10 reasons I’m extremely strange (Rated R for language)
did this for my future daughter in law on another site. getting ready to delete that site so thought I would put it here just in case she hadn't read it and wanted to.
1. I don't follow instructions well unless there is a grade, job performance rating, or true knowledge at stake. So first of all I cheat. I will not tag anyone because this is just a different kind of 'all about me chain letter' I know a poor soul who did chain letters for years thinking something bad would happen to her if she broke the chain...and no it wasn't me but I am related to her..... :( So anyway, chain letters = SPAM. As a programmer I know SPAM to be EVIL.
2. The above statement makes other people think I am a stick in the mud who has no fun. I just don't need SPAM or even other people to have fun, now MUD... is another story, but other people just tend to ruin my fun as soon as I start having it.
3. I need more time away from other people than the average person.
4. I also think that people with poor hygiene should be forced to live separate from those of us who prefer to actually be clean and smell good. That said, I have the old man's bags packed and am waiting on the bus to come and take him away!
5. I had to censor the hell out of myself while making this list!
6. If I had the energy, means, resources - all that good stuff, to go back to school... I would study astronomy. Not astrology lol, astronomy..
7. I would love to leave the planet and view earth from space.
8. I believe things about religion, spirituality, and the universe that could potentially still get me burned at the stake.
